WHAT WE鈥橰E TALKING ABOUT

New cohort of Engelberg scholars at Atlantic City Campus.New Cohort of Engelberg Scholars Ready to Give Back to A.C.

Angelica Medrano applied for 91直播鈥檚 Engelberg Leadership Scholarship Program because she wants to be a part of something bigger than herself.

鈥淎tlantic City is a beautiful city, don鈥檛 get me wrong, but it does need a lot of improvement,鈥 said the sophomore Health Science major. 鈥淚t needs people to actively work and contribute toward making it better. I just want to give back to people. I want to be of use.鈥

That鈥檚 the core purpose of the leadership program, which was established in 2019 through a $1 million commitment to the 91直播 Foundation from Alfred Engelberg, a 1956 Atlantic City High School graduate who became a successful lawyer after receiving a generous scholarship from the Avoda organization.

Medrano is part of the seventh cohort of students selected for the 2025 program, which covers four 91直播 students鈥 full tuition, room, board, fees, books and other expenses beginning their sophomore year.

The Transfer Pathways program continues the relationship between 91直播 and Brookdale in Lincroft, Monmouth County, by offering multiple opportunities for students to seamlessly pursue associate and bachelor's degrees at the two institutions of higher education.

鈥淏rookdale is proud to continue and expand our strong partnership with 91直播," said

"Together, we are opening doors for our students by creating seamless pathways that lower costs, shorten time to degree and provide unique hands-on learning experiences like 91直播鈥檚 Live-Work-Learn program.
